Rybecca Panchuk: Smart Earth Camelina Featured Rider

27 Jan - David Roberts

This week we thought it would be special to feature one of our dedicated riders, Rybecca!

Rybecca comes from a family of rodeo riders and has been riding horses since she was just 1 year old!

She believes horses are athletes and should be treated as such, that's why she trusts Camelina Oil to get the most out of her horses!

Read on to hear about Rybecca's journey with Camelina and the positive benefits she's seen since she's started working it into her horse's diet.

You can tell this isn’t Rybecca Panchuk's first rodeo.

In fact her first rodeo was almost two decades ago. "There's a picture of me on a horse at age 1," Rybecca, 23, says. She rode in her first rodeo competition at the age of 5.

The entire Panchuk family is made up of rodeo riders - sister, brother, dad - and her mom also was a rodeo rider at one time. The family also keeps and trains rodeo horses.

Rybecca, excelling at Breakaway Roping and Team Roping, qualified for the Canadian High School Rodeo Finals three times and went to Montana State Northern University on a rodeo scholarship. She plans to compete in the Breakaway competitions at the World Champion Rodeo Alliance and in the Canadian Finals Rodeo. She expects to hit 30-40 rodeos in Canada and the USA this year.

Rybecca has trained many rodeo horses and even sold one of her carefully trained rodeo QH's for $20,000.

"They are an athlete and you have to treat them like an athlete," she said. "That's one of the reasons we feed them Camelina."

The Panchuks look for good breeding and genetics in their quarter horses. Special rodeo training for their horses usually starts at the age of three or four.

A few of the Panchuks veteran rodeo horses are still performing at the age of 20. That's a testament to how well these animals are cared for and how strictly their health is maintained.

"I feel like they look better with the natural Vitamin E that's in Camelina," she said. "They're shinier and more toned. But there's another couple of reasons I like to feed it. One is digestive - stomach health - your health all stems from your gut. Just like humans. We also noticed the difference Camelina makes with their joints. Rodeo is hard on the joints with lots of stopping and starting. It seems to help with longevity and recovery."
