Hope for Heroes

Debbie Fisher, the founder of Hope for Heroes, shared an incredible story about how Smart Earth Camelina Oil has transformed the lives of their therapy horses. These amazing animals play a vital role in helping veterans with PTSD, and keeping them healthy is a top priority for Debbie and her team.

One of their horses, Root Beer, is a 26-year-old with Cushing’s disease and laminitis. He had started stumbling, which raised safety concerns for the veterans he works with. After introducing Smart Earth Camelina Oil into his diet, the results were remarkable. Root Beer’s joint issues improved, he stopped stumbling, and he regained a youthful vitality that amazed everyone.

Debbie also noticed significant benefits in other horses, including relief from ulcers and skin allergies. She told us how much this product has meant to their program, helping their equine therapists stay healthy and continue their important work.

We’re honored to support Hope for Heroes and are thrilled to hear about the positive impact our product has had on their incredible horses!

Trish's Story

Trish, from Sprout Meadows Enterprises Ltd., shared how Smart Earth Camelina Oil has become a game-changer for her 25+ horses. She has seen remarkable improvements across her herd, addressing a range of challenges. One of her older geldings, who struggled with arthritis, is now moving much more comfortably. Her son’s horse, who previously suffered from persistent hives, is now hive-free. A client’s mare, plagued by sweet itch, has experienced complete relief.

Beyond these specific cases, Trish also noticed significant changes in horses with a history of ulcers and aggression—they are now calmer and more balanced. Across the board, all her horses have developed glossier coats, with manes and tails growing faster than ever.

Trish is thrilled with these results and has made Smart Earth Camelina Oil a staple in her horses’ diets. Both she and her clients are amazed by the transformation, and she strongly recommends it to others looking to improve their horses’ overall health and well-being.

Rory's 30 Day Transformation

When Lori McCumber brought Rory to L & M Equestrian near Waterloo, Ont., the 5-year-old thoroughbred was a starvation case. But the positive turnaround she has seen in Rory’s overall health in just 30 short days is simply amazing, partly due to adding Camelina oil to the horse’s diet. Lori has been bringing rescue animals to her boarding and training farm for the past several years, helping them to turn around and then re-homing them. Rory was a real hardship case – extremely undernourished and neglected – so she immediately placed him on good rations with a supplement of Smart Earth Camelina Oil Equine Supplement.

“I had used other Omega oils in the past but this is the most cost effective and does the most,” she said. “Rory is the fastest turnaround of any horse we’ve had – with the most dramatic difference,” she added.

Lori, who has about 40 horses at L & M Equestrian, said Smart Earth’s Equine Oil seems to have the ideal Omega3-Omega6 balance. “I had used other Omega oils before, the last one was basically a fish oil,” she said. “What we noticed with Rory is his coat is turning out really nice and shiny. He seems to be putting on muscle better – it’s like the oil helps him process the feed better.” She also noticed an improvement in the composition of Rory’s hooves and his overall demeanor has changed dramatically for the better. “He’s calmed down a lot. He was a little loopy when he got here,” Lori said, adding she now has several other horses on Camelina oil as a supplement and they also are doing well.

How Sherie got her Rock Star back thanks to Camelina Oil

Sherie shared the incredible transformation of her horse, Stasia, after incorporating Smart Earth Camelina Oil into her care routine. Stasia had been struggling with a range of serious health issues, including severe udder swelling, recurrent colic, hypersensitive skin that led to hives, ulcers, excessive sweating, and a diagnosis of Cushing's disease. These challenges took a toll on Stasia’s health, energy, and overall quality of life, leaving Sherie searching for a solution.

After trying various treatments, including flaxseed oil, with little success, Sherie decided to give Smart Earth Camelina Oil a try. The results exceeded her expectations. Shortly after starting the supplement, Sherie noticed a dramatic change in Stasia. Her appetite improved, her personality began to shine again, and she became noticeably more relaxed during rides. Excessive sweating—a longstanding issue—normalized, and her physical condition saw remarkable enhancements. Stasia’s coat regained its shine, her muscle tone improved, and her overall vitality returned.

Sherie describes Stasia as her "rock star" horse, and she credits Smart Earth Camelina Oil for giving her horse a new lease on life. The improvements were not just physical; they restored Stasia’s spirit, allowing her to thrive once again. Sherie is now a firm believer in the product and recommends it to anyone facing similar challenges with their horses. She’s thrilled to see Stasia happy, healthy, and full of life once more.

Rybecca Panchuk: Smart Earth Camelina Featured Rider

Rybecca, excelling at Breakaway Roping and Team Roping, qualified for the Canadian High School Rodeo Finals three times and went to Montana State Northern University on a rodeo scholarship. She plans to compete in the Breakaway competitions at the World Champion Rodeo Alliance and in the Canadian Finals Rodeo. She expects to hit 30-40 rodeos in Canada and the USA this year.

Rybecca has trained many rodeo horses and even sold one of her carefully trained rodeo QH's for $20,000.

"They are an athlete and you have to treat them like an athlete," she said. "That's one of the reasons we feed them Camelina."

The Panchuks look for good breeding and genetics in their quarter horses. Special rodeo training for their horses usually starts at the age of three or four. A few of the Panchuks veteran rodeo horses are still performing at the age of 20. That's a testament to how well these animals are cared for and how strictly their health is maintained.

"I feel like they look better with the natural Vitamin E that's in Camelina," she said. "They're shinier and more toned. But there's another couple of reasons I like to feed it. One is digestive - stomach health - your health all stems from your gut. Just like humans. We also noticed the difference Camelina makes with their joints. Rodeo is hard on the joints with lots of stopping and starting. It seems to help with longevity and recovery."

Karen's Story

Karen shared the remarkable transformation of her aging mare after introducing Smart Earth Camelina Oil into her diet. The mare, a cherished companion with a history of service as a show horse, 4-H participant, and therapeutic riding horse, had been experiencing significant health decline due to age. She exhibited muscle loss, stiffness in her right front shoulder, flaky skin, and a dull coat. Traditional interventions, including deworming and veterinary care, provided minimal improvement.

Seeking an alternative solution, Karen began administering the recommended daily dose of camelina oil. After a week without noticeable change, she doubled the dosage and supplemented her mare's diet with rolled oats, beet pulp, and Hoffman's supplements, while allowing access to summer pasture. Within two months, Karen observed a significant reduction in stiffness and improvements in skin and coat condition, though weight gain remained minimal. She further increased the oil intake, and by September, her mare began to gain weight and appeared healthier than she had in years.

By November, the mare was thriving on winter pasture, with continuous access to hay, water, and a daily dose of camelina oil. Karen credits Smart Earth Camelina Oil for revitalizing her mare's health, noting that without it, she might have faced the difficult decision of euthanasia during the summer. Impressed by the results, Karen plans to continue using the product and intends to introduce it to her younger working horses. She appreciates the oil's palatability and long shelf life, finding it more cost-effective than other oils she has tried, which previously yielded no visible results.
